Swippee Data

Source & republication policy

Swippee Data republishes public statistical data from named Nepali agencies as a machine-readable API. The underlying figures belong to their original publishers — we add structure, history and access, not ownership.

We attribute on every response

Each API response includes a meta object naming the source agency (meta.source), the exact document we parsed (meta.source_url), and the data's reference date (meta.as_of). Public dataset pages link back to the original agency release.

We don't claim ownership

Swippee Data does not assert ownership over the underlying figures. Currently all datasets originate from Nepal Rastra Bank, which participates in the IMF's e-GDDS public-dissemination framework. We republish numeric data only — not circulars, directives, or other copyrighted prose.

Attribution passes through to you

If you build on Swippee Data, the attribution requirement passes through: your app, dashboard, or report must surface the original source (e.g. “Source: Nepal Rastra Bank, via Swippee Data”) wherever you display the figures. You may build products on top of the API; you may not repackage and resell the raw responses as your own dataset. See the Terms.

We update on correction

If an agency issues a corrected release, we re-ingest and the API reflects the correction on the next refresh. Snapshots are timestamped, so you can always see when data was retrieved.

Accuracy disclaimer

Data is provided as-is. We take care to parse faithfully and verify against source, but we do not guarantee accuracy beyond the original publisher. For decisions of consequence, confirm against the source document linked in meta.source_url.

Takedown

If a source agency asks us to stop republishing its data, we comply promptly. Questions or requests: hello@swippee.com.
